"Down a tree-lined drive is the ancient manor house of Lavethan, as perfect as they come, overlooking its own secret valley and small river, a tributary of the Camel"
- 'Unwrecked England' by Candida Lycett Green
Lavethan is a Grade 2* manor house, nestling on the side of its own secret valley through which a tributary of the River Camel meanders. The oak lined drive leads to the eastern side of the house over-looking the valley. Listed in the Domesday Book and partly remodelled in 1650, the house is of considerable historic and architectural interest. Perfectly located for exploring all of Cornwall or for simply enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. We offer bed and breakfast in the house and there are self-catering holiday cottages on the estate. We belong to Wolseley Lodges and are in the Alistair Sawday Best B&B.
