| A Grade 2* family manor house, set in its own secret valley through which the stream meanders, located in the depths of Cornwall at the end of an oak lined drive which leads into the Eastern side of the house. Lavethan is listed in the Domesday Book and was partly remodelled in 1650. It is perfectly located for exploring Cornwall or for spending idyllic days in the peace and tranquillity of real countryside. The main staircase leads up to the bedrooms, all very different and each with its own particular appeal, looking out over the valley. In addition one bedrooms is off the courtyard and has its own entrance; all bedrooms have king-sized beds and their own bathrooms. We are a member of Wolsey Lodges and are in the Alistair Sawday Best B and B. | |

| Our house is run very much on family lines. Nothing is too much trouble for either Catherine or me; we both take enormous care and pride in looking after our guests. There are large rooms, with open fires in the colder times of the year, in which to relax, read the paper or browse through books. Guests are welcome to either just have bed and breakfast and enjoy the many local restaurants and pubs for dinner, or by arrangement Catherine produces delicious locally bought, prepared and cooked dinner with a fine selection of nice wines. In the summer there is a heated swimming pool in the walled garden. | |
